My name is Tim Grittani (kroyrunner89), and I've been a full-time daytrader since the beginning of 2012. I've learned a lot along the way from my successes and failures and would like to pass along some of these lessons. This blog will hopefully save me time in answering the dozens of questions I get each week through Facebook and Twitter. If not, I guess I just created more work.
Description
My basic trading philosophy can be summed up by one simple quote:
"Trade the ticker, not the company" - Nate Michaud
Tim, thanks. As I hear this recap, I see the emotional resilience in making the undisciplined choices, and yet also still being confident that the losses on the MAr 7th, where just trade ideas, not working out. I really find I need to connect with that in my level of development. because I've taken 3 losses in a row, and haven't traded in a few months. The losses are not my any measure outside of my stop losses, in fact I executed my edge and stops, but still sorta gripped by the reality that trade sets ups don't work, and I am in a place of fear right now... I work to develop past that. Thanks for the glimpse into the month. Max

ReplyDeleteHi Tim, I have watched your DVD and read all your blog and have began trading myself recently, but I seem to be missing something. How do you stay aware of overall market conditions (bull and bear) is this through the use of news software or trader communities like IU, because sometimes i'm buying breakouts in short biased market conditions and left scratching my head, thank you.
ReplyDeletecan't say i pay attention to overall market or really care - some breakouts will fail regardless of what kind of market we're in, for those that do i simply cut my loss and move on!
